You bought the same amount of a coin at several prices. What is your average buy price, how many coins do you hold, and where are you now? Enter the prices, the cash per buy and your fees.
Separate prices with spaces, new lines or semicolons. The amount is the cash that leaves your account for one buy, fee included.

How to use the crypto DCA calculator
- List the price you paid at each buy, in any order, separated by spaces or new lines.
- Enter the cash you spent on each buy (the same amount every time).
- Enter your buy fee and the sell fee you expect, as a percent of the trade.
- Optionally enter the current price to see the profit or loss if you sold everything now.
- Read the average buy price and the break-even sell price; open Show the math to see every step.
DCA formula
- Coins at one buy = cash / (price × (1 + buy fee))
- Total coins = sum of the coins at each buy
- Average buy price = total money at the buy prices / total coins
- Cost per coin = total cash / total coins
- Break-even sell price = cost per coin / (1 − sell fee)
The cash per buy is what left your account, buy fee included. Prices can be in any currency; results are in the same one.

What assumptions and edge cases does this calculator use?
Each fee is a percent of that buy, at most 5%, and the amount per buy already includes the buy fee. Every buy is the same cash amount; use the Average Buy Price Calculator for unequal buys or sales. Prices can be in any currency and results come back in it. You can enter 1 to 1000 prices, separated by spaces, new lines or semicolons; a single price is valid. The average is the harmonic mean of the prices, so it is never above the plain average. Without a current price no profit or ROI is shown. A price or amount of zero or below is refused, and so are inputs so large or small that the result is not a finite number. Not covered: taxes, slippage, withdrawal or network fees, currency conversion, leverage and funding.
How do I calculate the average price of dollar-cost averaging?
Divide the total cash you spent by the total coins you got. With equal cash at each buy this equals the number of buys divided by the sum of 1 / price. $100 at $100, $50 and $200 buys 1 + 2 + 0.5 = 3.5 coins for $300, an average of $85.71, lower than the plain average of the three prices ($116.67).
Why is my average price lower than the average of the prices?
Equal cash buys more coins when the price is low and fewer when it is high, so more of your coins were bought cheap. The result is the harmonic mean of the prices, never above their plain average.
Are fees included in the average?
The average buy price is the price per coin on the exchange. The cost per coin with the buy fee included is shown next to it, and the break-even sell price uses that cost and your sell fee.
What if my buys were not equal amounts?
Use the Average Buy Price Calculator: it takes any quantity and price per trade, and handles sells in between.
Does this work for futures?
No, this is for coins you buy outright (spot). Averaging into a leveraged perpetual futures position changes your liquidation price; use the DCA Entry workflow for that.
