Safe leverage on Bybit
Bybit allows up to 100× on its perpetual futures — but the exchange maximum is not a recommendation. The higher the leverage, the smaller the adverse move needed to liquidate you, so most traders use a fraction of the available ceiling.
This calculator uses Bybit's maintenance margin rate (typically 0.5% for major pairs) together with the asset's daily volatility to find the leverage that keeps a normal daily move from reaching liquidation — well below the 100× ceiling Bybit offers.
Bybit fee structure
Bybit charges maker fee 0.01% and taker fee 0.06% on perpetual futures. Maximum available leverage is 100×. This calculator pre-fills these defaults so you get accurate results without needing to look up the fee schedule. If you are on a VIP tier with discounted fees, adjust the fee fields accordingly.
Maker orders (limit orders that add liquidity) cost less than taker orders (market orders that remove liquidity). On Bybit, using limit orders for both entry and exit can reduce your total fee cost significantly compared to market orders.
